Counselling for those affected by sexual abuse and sexual harm
Our waiting list for counselling is currently closed due to at capacity resources. Please keep checking this page where we will provide updates on counselling service availability.
What is Counselling? Counselling provides a safe, confidential space to explore feelings, navigate challenges, and build coping strategies. Whether you’re processing trauma, addressing relationship dynamics, or working towards personal growth, our counsellors are here to help you find clarity and solutions. We can offer the service to individuals over 18 years of age.
Who Can Access This Service?
Survivors of Sexual Abuse: For survivors, counselling offers a secure environment to process trauma, rebuild self-esteem, and regain a sense of control, fostering healing and resilience.
Families Affected by Sexual Harm: Family members impacted by sexual harm can explore emotions like shame, anger, or confusion, work to rebuild trust, and strengthen communication for healthier relationships.
Perpetrators of Sexual Harm (in limited cases): Counselling is available for individuals whose offending is linked to their own unresolved experiences of sexual trauma. Counselling in these cases focuses on accountability, addressing past trauma, and developing healthier coping mechanisms to break harmful cycles.
How We Work
Circles South East offers up to 30 sessions of online counselling. You can self-refer or be referred by a professional.
Our qualified volunteer counsellors or advanced students (in their final year of study) provide expert, impartial support. If your initial match isn’t the right fit, you can request a different counsellor.
Our counselling can be accessed alongside other services from Circle South East or another organisation.
We look forward to assisting you in your healing journey.
Our assessments, programmes and interventions can be purchased individually, or we can include them in a contract of support. For more information on any of the interventions listed above please call 01235 816050 or email hub@circlessoutheast.org.uk
