About Us:
Circles South East is a Charity with nearly 20 years’ experience working in the field of sexual abuse. We are a Public Protection Charity working for and with local communities across the South East and London regions. Our primary purpose is to provide a comprehensive package of support to all whose lives have been impacted by sexual harm. Our vision is to become essentially a “one stop shop” for issues relating to sexual abuse, while at the same time embracing multi-agency working practices.
We provide a range of interventions to support both survivors and perpetrators in their recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration, recognising that each person has a unique set of personal circumstances that will need a tailored response. Circles South East’s Community Hub addresses the problem of sexual abuse through parents’ child protection courses, victim support and family awareness programmes. We also provide a counselling and support service for survivors of sexual abuse. Our work is aimed at men and women who perpetrate sexual harm. We seek to achieve a reduction in abusive behaviour and an increase in pro-social, community integration by facilitating social inclusion. This is achieved by recruiting, training and supervising volunteers from the local community to provide mentoring, advice, guidance and pro-social modelling to men and women with who are leaving prison after long sentences and are at high risk of repeat offending.
Job Purpose
We are seeking to employ an individual with experience of the criminal justice system and a detailed understanding of risk assessments in a multi-agency context.
Person Specific:
The successful applicant must have experience of working with people who have sexually harmed and will be expected to develop and maintain effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies. They will be responsible for the management and supervision of Circle volunteers and for coordinating information sharing and accountability between the Circle and partnership agencies. Circle Coordinators are required to assess the suitability of potential service users for our services. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the delivery of the Circles SE Specialist Training Programme to external agencies.
