Sexual Harm and Capacity to Protect Assessments

Circles South East provides comprehensive risk assessments using recognised professional frameworks. Our assessments  are used within safeguarding processes.

  • Sexual Harm Risk Assessment –  assessing  an individual’s capacity to cause sexual harm, the presence of protective factors that mitigate the risk and the formulation of risk management strategies to reduce that risk. We can assess individuals who have a conviction for a sexual offence and individuals where there has been an allegation of sexual harm. We can assess contact and non-contact (online/image based) harmful behaviours.
  • Aim 3 Assessment – assessing the risk and needs of young people (12-18 year olds) who have been identified as having engaged in harmful sexual behaviour or who are at risk of doing so. A case formulation and intervention strategies are considered.
  • Capacity To Protect Assessment – evaluates a parent or carer’s ability to safeguard children in their care from  sexual abuse. A case formulation and intervention strategies are considered

We can either complete assessments on an individual basis or talk to us about a contract for us to provide assessments under a longer-term contract of support.
